Twenty years of European
coppersmithing · in Canada.
Custom Copper Roofing is a Canadian atelier founded on the European tradition of architectural metalwork: build the roof once, in the finest materials, to a standard measured in generations.

Our founders were trained in the European sheet-metal tradition, where a coppersmith's apprenticeship still runs for years and a copper roof is expected to outlive the architect who drew it. 20 years of craft has crossed the Atlantic with us. Today our team measures, fabricates and installs every project ourselves · no subcontractors, no franchise shortcuts. The work speaks for itself: copper spires on Georgian Bay, standing seam on Muskoka cottages, hand-set copper shingles on a temple in the GTA.
Luxury, for us, is quiet: tight seams, hidden fasteners, correct expansion joints, and a roof you never have to think about again.
High-quality materials, always.
We install only what we would put on our own homes. We work with high-quality suppliers whose materials match the standard of our work · architectural copper, rolled zinc, natural slate and stainless fasteners specified for a century of service.
How we work.
Measured, not guessed.
Every panel and flashing is templated on-site before a single sheet is cut.
Formed in-shop.
Panels and details are shaped in our workshop for consistent, weather-tight joints.
Installed by our crew.
The person who formed the copper is the person who installs it.
Fastened for a century.
Concealed clips, correct expansion allowances, and stainless fasteners throughout.
Traditional detailing.
Standing seams, lock strips, cross-brakes and hand-soldered valleys · done properly.
No shortcuts on flashing.
Chimneys, valleys and penetrations are where roofs fail; we over-engineer them.
Across Canada, based in Ontario.
Most of our residential work is within a two-hour drive of the Greater Toronto Area · Muskoka, Georgian Bay, Port Perry, Barrie, Etobicoke, Wasaga · but we travel across Canada for larger copper commissions and heritage restoration projects.
