A slate roof is only as good as its flashings. Every slate roof we install is paired with hand-formed copper valleys, chimney saddles and step flashings.
Approach
We install true natural slate · quarried, graded and sorted for colour and thickness · nailed to solid decking with copper nails, never staples. Every valley, hip and chimney is flashed in solid copper, formed on our brake and soldered on-site.
Slate is the most permanent roof material we work with, and it demands the most careful flashing work. That's exactly where a metal shop like ours makes a difference.
