Chimney

The chimney is where roofs fail.
So we over-engineer it.

Two ways to solve the same problem: bespoke copper chimney work for landmark homes, and precise standard chimney flashing, caps and repairs for everything else.

Copper chimney

Built to outlive the masonry.

Every piece is formed in our shop from 16 or 20 oz copper, hand-soldered at the corners and set on-site. Nothing relies on sealant to stay watertight.

From a simple copper cap on a prefab flue to a fully wrapped masonry chimney with an ornamental top, the detailing follows the architecture above it.

  • Hand-formed copper caps and cupolas
  • Full copper chimney surrounds
  • Through-pan copper flashings
  • Hand-soldered corners and joints
  • Copper cricket on the uphill side
  • Natural patina, no coatings required
Regular chimney

Sound, sealed and simple.

Not every chimney needs copper. When the budget or the building calls for a straightforward solution, we fit steel or aluminium flashing, chase covers and caps with the same standards of workmanship.

Most calls we take are leaks: failed crowns, tired step flashing, undersized caps. We open it up, correct the detail and close it properly.

  • Galvanized and stainless steel chase covers
  • Aluminium and steel step flashing
  • Rain caps and spark arrestors
  • Re-flashing during a roof replacement
  • Crown repair and waterproof sealing
  • Compatible with any roofing material
